Leclerc loses control and crashes into the wall at high speed
- GPblog.com
Charles Leclerc crashed into the wall at the end of the second free practice session. Although the Monegasque was apparently uninjured, there was little left of the driver's car.
The Ferrari's set seventh and tenth fastest times, which seemed to allow the race team to have confidence. At the end of the practice, however, the Italian team had some concerns when Leclerc hit the wall hard, causing a lot of damage to his car.
Footage shows that Leclerc steered into turn 22, which was already considered dangerous, and lost control of the car. As a result, Leclerc's car started to spin anticlockwise and the driver hit the wall at full speed. Leclerc is probably lucky he didn't suffer any serious physical damage.
