Lewis Hamilton came out victorious during the exhilarating Saudi Arabia Grand Prix. However, after the race the main focus was on the incidents with Max Verstappen, with the Brit giving a clear statement towards his rival.
Verstappen and Hamilton made it an interesting fight in Saudi Arabia. During two restarts the Dutchman managed to get past Hamilton twice, but the first time was not according to the rules. According to the Brit this was not the first time Verstappen did not stick to the rules.
Hamilton took a hard line towards his rival. "I know that I can’t overtake someone and go off track and then keep the position," he said in conversation with Autosport.com. "I think that’s well known between all us drivers but it doesn’t apply to one of us, I guess," he subtly pointed to Verstappen.
Hamilton takes less risks on track
The seven-time world champion admits that as an experienced driver he has started to drive more carefully to avoid major incidents with his rival, as he is concerned about the risks they take otherwise. "This is not the first time that I’ve had to avoid a collision and yeah, that’s how I felt at the moment."
