Verstappen on Hamilton: "He will never admit that"

Max Verstappen has let it be known that he does not speak the name of title rival Lewis Hamilton anymore. The Dutchman thinks that certain people are showing their true nature now that he is involved in the fierce title fight in Formula 1 .
No more Hamilton and Mercedes
In an interview with De Telegraaf Verstappen explained that he doesn't utter the name of Hamilton and Mercedes anymore: "That happens during a season like this. Too much has happened for that." In 2021, Verstappen and Hamilton have regularly encountered each other on the track and it has ended in tears several times.
Verstappen says it's not because of a particular moment when he stopped pronouncing the names, but rather because of what has happened throughout the season. "The image I have of certain people did change. And no, not in a positive way." According to the Red Bull Racing driver, the true nature of these individuals comes out when there is considerable pressure on them.
Verstappen not scared
Whether Hamilton is afraid or Verstappen? "He'll never admit that. I'm not afraid of him. Yes, I do think I make him nervous when he sees me in his mirrors," said Verstappen.
