Wolff congratulated Verstappen: 'That was very nice'

Toto Wolff was angry with the race officials on Sunday evening during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. According to the Mercedes team boss, the stewards didn't act correctly, which resulted in Lewis Hamilton losing the world title to Max Verstappen. It did not stop him from congratulating Verstappen.
Whereas Hamilton was sporting after the race by openly congratulating the Dutchman with the top prize, Wolff showed different behaviour. The Austrian went to the race committee to seek redress for the moment after the yellow flag when the safety car came in earlier than usual.
Wolff was able to congratulate Verstappen though. In conversation with The Telegraph, the Red Bull Racing driver told that he has received one. "Toto sent a message," Verstappen told. "He congratulated me with my season and stated that I deserved to win. That was of course very nice of him."
Verstappen shows respect for Hamilton
Verstappen said in the interview that he has a lot of respect for Hamilton's handling of his loss. He said it was partly due to the seven world titles he has already won. If Verstappen had been defeated, it would have been more painful according to the Dutch driver.
