Max Verstappen praised the way Lewis Hamilton handled losing the world title to his direct rival immediately after the Grand Prix. The Red Bull Racing driver thinks it shows great 'sportsmanship.' He is also asked how many more world championships he hopes to win.

"Lewis Hamilton came straight to me when he got out of the car. He congratulated me and that's what sportsmen do. That was very nice, and also from Lewis' dad," Verstappen said in an interview with Sky Sports about the fact that Hamilton's father also took the time to congratulate his son's World Cup rival on his first world title.

In order to match Hamilton and Michael Schumacher as record champions, Verstappen will need to win six more world titles in his F1 career. The 24-year-old Dutchman still has a lot of years ahead of him, so it's certainly not unthinkable. Verstappen himself, however, is putting the brakes on. "You also have to have a bit of luck for that."

According to the teammate of Sergio Perez, you do need to be with the right team for a longer period of time to be able to drive for victories. Next year the new regulations will be introduced in Formula 1 and then of course you don't want to be a second slower than the competition. Verstappen needs 'luck' that Red Bull will be at the front of the grid in 2022.
