Wolff unsure about Hamilton's future: 'I would hope he continues racing'

Earlier today Mercedes announced via an official statement that they will not protest against the decisions of the FIA. Toto Wolff hopes that Lewis Hamilton will stay in Formula 1 despite Sunday's result.
It looked like the seven-time world champion would walk away with the win and the championship, but in the closing stages of the race Max Verstappen managed to overtake him after a safety car restart.
After the race the Mercedes team protested against the victory of the Dutchman, but the FIA didn't want to hear about it and rejected the protest. Team boss Wolff doesn't think the team will ever get over the result in Abu Dhabi.
"Lewis and I are disillusioned at the moment. We will never overcome the pain, the distress caused on Sunday", he told The Race.
Wolff sounds uncertain
It has been dead quiet on Hamilton's social media for days. He will also not be attending the FIA gala tonight to receive his award for second place. Wolff seems unsure that the Brit will stay in Formula One.
"I would very much hope that Lewis continues racing - because he is the greatest driver of all time." According to Wolff, Hamilton's heart will tell him to continue and they should overcome the pain together.
