McLaren can be satisfied with the results achieved this season. The highlight of the year was clearly having the two McLaren drivers on the podium together, as Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris can't stop talking about it.

The season ended very well for the British racing team. The team was fourth in the Constructors' Championship, Ricciardo was eighth in the Drivers' Championship and Norris was sixth. In addition, the team had a one-two at the Italian Grand Prix.

The Briton feels he has become a better driver this season and his proudest moment is his pole position in Russia. The Australian immediately mentioned Monza, but not just because he could win. "It's more because no one thought we would win that Grand Prix," he told Speedweek.

Expectations for 2022

2022 is going to be a new year for everyone because of the new regulations. The teammates were asked what they think of when they hear 2022 and the former Renault driver's first response is clear: "F*ck corona! That's the first thing that comes to mind!" Words like excitement and new challenges soon follow, but the McLaren drivers are mostly hoping that the new cars will provide more battles on track and that the sport will remain fun for fans.
