Today the third official stage of the Dakar Rally is on the programme. The original route has been changed due to bad weather, so the stage starts and ends at the same place. In this article, you can read the results of the stage from Al Qaisumah to Al Qaisumah.

Results Motorcycles

The motorcycles are again the first to start. The fastest man of the day is Joaquim Rodrigues. He takes his first victory in Dakar. Australian Daniel Sanders was in the lead for the entire stage, but had to give up time to Rodrigues in the last part. Price and Mason Klein followed at just over a minute. Results for Cars

The first success for Carlos Sainz in this edition of Dakar. The Spaniard - and father of Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz Jr. - recorded the first stage victory with the hybrid Audi RS Q e-tron. It is the first-ever victory for a car in the Ultimate prototype class. South African Henk Lategan finished in second place, only 38 seconds behind the winner. Reigning titleholder Stéphane Peterhansel, who already has no chance for the overall victory due to a crash on the second day, crossed the finish line in third place.

Sebastien Loeb lost precious minutes. The Frenchman arrived more than half an hour later than Sainz and therefore loses a lot of time compared to leader Al-Attiyah. He finished eighth at just over five minutes from Sainz.

Results Quads

The third stage for the quads ended in a victory for the American Pablo Copetti. He finished the course 2.04 minutes faster than his closest pursuer Alexandere Giroud. Manuel Andujar finished third.

Results SSVs

The SSVs also did the shortened stage, which turned out to be a great success for the Cobant-Energylandia team. Marek Goczal was the fastest of the day, almost three minutes faster than his brother and teammate Michal Goczal. Third place was for Aron Domzala.

Results Trucks

Dmitry Sotnikov has taken a second stage win. The Russian finished more than a minute ahead of his teammate Karginov, who won the stage yesterday. It was also a beautiful day for the Dutch Team De Rooy. It ended with two trucks in the top five. Janus van Kasteren was on the podium with a third place, while his teammate Martin van den Brink was fifth.
