Pourchaire continues climb to F1 with new F2 contract

His name fell regularly when it came to the last available F1 seat for 2022. Theo Pourchaire missed out on the prize, but may wait another year in the second Formula class with a renewed contract with ART Grand Prix.
ART and Pourchaire continue their F2 adventure together. This will be the Frenchman's third year with the team. At the age of sixteen, he was fighting for the F3 title. In that season he became the youngest F3 winner ever. In F2, he did the same. Pourchaire picked up multiple victories and podiums. At seventeen years and nine months, he won the Monaco F2 race and became the youngest F2 winner ever.
The fact that Pourchaire has talent and was therefore linked to F1 according to the rumours is not surprising. With his third year contract with ART and his second F2 season, the Frenchman hopes to put himself in the spotlight and make the step up to F1 as soon as possible. Becoming the youngest winner in the premier class is no longer going to be possible for him, as Max Verstappen achieved that record before he was eighteen.
Eyes on F1
Pourchaire's reaction to his contract extension on the ART website reads, "I am proud to continue in F2 with ART in 2022. It is an honor to work with such a team. It will be our third year together and it has become a family in that time. To continue with them in the pre-cursor to F1 is very exciting. We are more determined than ever, and we are aiming for the F2 title."
