Ricciardo does not regret leaving Red Bull even after Verstappen title

Daniel Ricciardo left Red Bull Racing before the team reached the top with Max Verstappen, but the Australian has revealed he does not regret his decision.
Ricciardo had already had a few years with the team and thought it was time for something different. So in 2019 he switched to Renault, which reportedly offered him the top price. However, he had to give up quite a bit in terms of performance for that. That may have played into his decision to announce his departure to McLaren the very next year.
Ricciardo has no regrets about leaving Red Bull
The Australian previously indicated that, despite the strong performance of his old team, he had no regrets about leaving Red Bull Racing. Now that his former teammate has won the world title, he was asked the question again by Motorsport.com, but after a short silence the same answer followed.
The former Red Bull driver emphasised that the Austrian racing stable has meant a lot to his career and that he therefore does not want to say "no" right away, but insists that after five years with the team he was ready for a new challenge. In addition, he does not know whether he could have developed at his old team in such a way that he could have fought for the title himself. Either way, Ricciardo is happy to see Red Bull Racing back at the top.
