This is how many millions Norris' new McLaren contract is worth!
- GPblog.com
Last week, Lando Norris extended his contract at McLaren. The British driver signed a commitment through to 2025 and over the next four years Norris will reportedly pocket tens of millions of euros.
According to information from The Sun Norris can add 10.5 million pounds on a yearly basis to his bank account. According to reports, Norris' previous contract provided him with about 4.5 million euros per year, so he is doing considerably better.
Norris is likely to earn a tiny bit more compared to what Daniel Ricciardo is currently doing at McLaren. It is believed that only Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso currently earn more than Norris.
Norris had more options
A contract extension at McLaren was not the only option the 22-year-old driver had. Norris made no secret of the fact that more teams showed interest in him and wanted to enter the conversation. However, it never got to the point where a serious contract proposal was made by any of the other racing teams from the pinnacle of motorsport.
