Ricciardo does not fear second Red Bull period: 'Not worried'

McLaren decided this week to extend the contract of Lando Norris until 2025. In doing so, the British racing team shows confidence in the driver, which Daniel Ricciardo can only be pleased about.
The Australian driver left Red Bull Racing at the end of 2018, as he felt that much of the team's attention was directed towards Max Verstappen. At the time, he, therefore, stressed that he would like to move to a racing team that was more into him, which he eventually found at Renault.
After two seasons, he then made the switch to McLaren where he is still sitting. This week, at the presentation of the car for the new season, Ricciardo said that he has every confidence in himself and the team. He was delighted that Norris extended his contract, which should only make McLaren stronger in the coming years.
Ricciardo does not fear for Norris
Around him, Ricciardo hears that a new Red Bull situation may arise. If Norris develops his talents and can compete for the world title, a lot of attention may again go to a teammate of Ricciardo. The driver does not fear this, however, he tells Formule1.nl. "I'm certainly not worried about that," Ricciardo said.
