Horner accepts Mercedes: 'Maybe different opinions'

Red Bull Racing and Mercedes are gearing up for another title fight. Whereas last season things were tough behind the scenes between Christian Horner and Toto Wolff, both team bosses plan to put the fight behind them.
Both teams kept each other in balance for a long time last season. It lasted until the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, when Max Verstappen finally ran away with the world title. It caused fierce reactions from Mercedes that blamed the race control, to which Red Bull then responded. However, Red Bull and Mercedes intend to forget about the 2021 title fight.
Horner and Wolff want to look ahead
Wolff told Wednesday to De Telegraaf that he is keen to focus on the new season rather than looking back at last calendar year. According to him, Mercedes once again has everything it needs to end the world championship on a winning note. Horner also thinks it is better to look forward, he stated in the same interview.
"Maybe we have different opinions, but that's behind us now," Horner informed. "We saw a great battle last year from the first race to the last. That has been hugely important for the rise in popularity of Formula 1."
