Max Verstappen will stay with Red Bull Racing until 2028. The two parties have announced this in a press release. The Dutchman is only too happy with the new deal.

This week it was already announced that Verstappen would have extended his contract at Red Bull Racing. There had been talk of a new deal for Verstappen for some time after winning his first world title, but that it would involve such a long contract no one had foreseen. A six-year deal is unheard of in Formula 1.

Mega deal for Verstappen

“I really enjoy being part of the Oracle Red Bull Racing Team, so choosing to stay to the 2028 season was an easy decision. I love this Team and last year was simply incredible, our goal since we came together in 2016 was to win the championship and we have done that, so now it’s about keeping the number one on the car long-term", Verstappen let it be known in the press release.

With that, Verstappen proves to be a man of his word. After the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix he let his team know that he wanted to do this for many years to come. Working with this team suits the Dutchman fine. With a six-year contract, he will stay with the Red Bull Racing team until he is at least 31 years old.
