Norris positive, but unconvincing: "It’s been as good a day as it could be"

After his second consecutive day of testing in Bahrain, Lando Norris sounds slightly positive, but not entirely convincing. The Brit says he and McLaren made the most of the circumstances.
Lando Norris had to show up at short notice yesterday to get behind the wheel of the McLaren. Actually, teammate Daniel Ricciardo was going to test, but the Australian wasn't feeling well. Today Ricciardo still wasn't feeling well, so Norris drove a second test day in a row. For the young Brit it is an excellent preparation, but it is difficult for Ricciardo who already struggled against his younger teammate last season.
Norris not very positive
Norris drove only sixty laps during the second day of testing, making McLaren the second least productive of the day. Williams only drove twelve laps, due to Nicholas Latifi's flaming rear wheels. The 1:34:609 that gave Norris a seventh time does not seem to save the day for the driver. Speaking to the press in Bahrain, Norris was therefore somewhat coy in his statement, "It’s been as good a day as it could be."

Norris: "There are still some problems that we are working on. So again, we made the best of it today." As for the longer stints, Norris has no idea yet. The McLaren driver does feel that they are improving on the short stints. The sand and wind were also a problem for Norris, as they were for the other drivers today. Norris concludes the conversation by saying a third time, "Despite the conditions, we made the most of it today."
Lando Norris: It’s been as good a day as it could be. There’s still a few problems that we’re working to resolve so, again, we made the most of what we could today.
