Due to the war in Ukraine, the Grand Prix in Russia will not take place this year or the coming years. Since this announcement of the F1 organization speculation has been going on: at what circuit will a race be held?

Nordschleife

The Portuguese Portimão, perhaps Istanbul in Turkey, maybe even Malaysia, beloved by many? There is even talk of another Grand Prix in the Middle East. For the time being the F1 organization has not given any information about where the replacement Grand Prix will be held. But if it is up to Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher it will not be one of these circuits.

Germany no longer has a regular Grand Prix and according to the drivers of Aston Martin and Haas, that does not belong in a motor racing country. That is why they plead in Autobild for a race this season at the Nürburgring. For Vettel, it would even be allowed on the long variant, the Nordschleife. "I won't be there forever, maybe this is the last chance," says Vettel.

Belongs in Germany

Formula 1 last hosted Germany in 2020. Back then, Schumacher was still driving in F2. "Formula 1 belongs in Germany, so it would be nice," says Haas driver Schumacher. Like Vettel, the 22-year-old believes there is only one place where the racing circus should descend: "My favorite would be the Nürburgring," he says.
