Leclerc confident in his Ferrari: 'Hopefully we can fight for pole'

The Ferrari team is looking strong ahead of qualifying for the Bahrain Grand Prix. Charles Leclerc looked fast today, finishing just behind Max Verstappen's fastest time during the second free practice session. Leclerc looks back on his Friday positively for Sky Sports' camera.
"With what we have seen today it's starting to be a bit more representative and nobody is at the limit of their car. There haven't been any bad surprises which is good and we seem to be in the mix. It gives us a bit of a smile. But there is still a lot of work to do tomorrow and hopefully we will be able to fight for pole," Leclerc begins.
The Ferrari driver finished in second place during both practice sessions on Friday. Teammate Carlos Sainz finished behind him on P3 both times. Ferrari therefore looks strong and Red Bull and Ferrari are expected to battle for pole position on Saturday.
Leclerc has confidence
At Mercedes, the problems are not yet solved and Hamilton indicated that the modifications have not solved anything yet. At Ferrari it is a different story, because with them the changes have worked. Also, the Italian team does not seem to be suffering from porpoising.
"I am quite confident with the car and it's all about testing the limit of the car today and not making mistakes tomorrow. There is still a bit of margin. We tested a lot of things and changed quite a bit of thing this morning, and all the changes we made have worked. We need to do the same tomorrow," Leclerc ends.
