Max Verstappen will start from the front row of the grid at tomorrow's Bahrain Grand Prix. The Dutchman will not start the race from pole position, as it was Charles Leclerc who set the fastest time on Saturday afternoon. The second starting row also consists of a Ferrari and a Red Bull.

For Leclerc it means his ninth pole position in Formula 1. Of the eight previous times he was allowed to start from the first spot, he managed to cross the finish line first twice.

Directly behind Leclerc and Verstappen, Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez will take their places. They will both be hoping for a podium, but at the start it's a matter of watching out for Lewis Hamilton and Kevin Magnussen. Especially the performance of Magnussen is impressive, because in recent years Haas F1 has been struggling.
