Verstappen will be in Drive to Survive in 2022, though? 'There has to be a conversation'
- GPblog.com
The fourth season of Drive to Survive is out, but about a sequel to the series, Formula 1 still wants to talk with the creators, but also with the drivers. For example, F1 thinks Max Verstappen's attitude is not conducive to cooperation.
Netflix has been running Formula 1 for four seasons, filming behind the scenes what happens at the teams, as well as at the homes of team bosses and drivers. Although the series attracts many viewers and has received good reviews, there is also much criticism. Verstappen, for example, spoke out against the series, because in his opinion there is a lot of manipulation.
Netflix and Verstappen
The image of Verstappen is not entirely made up. It is true that stories are sometimes made worse than they are and images and quotes are sometimes used at times that were not said at that moment. It's all for show and Max didn't want to participate in that anymore. F1 hopes this will be the case in the future.
Stefano Domenicali, in conversation with the Italian branch of Motorsport, expressed that a driver who refuses to participate in the series is not constructive. He believes that talks should take place to make the content correct also for the drivers. However, Domenicali also let it be known that there will be talks with Netflix, because there must be a fair picture: ''Otherwise it no longer suits us," the Italian also puts clear pressure on Netflix.
