Red Bull taken to task by the FIA
- GPblog.com
Red Bull Racing worked hard behind the scenes in recent days to resolve the problems with its cars so that it would be ready for the next Saudi Arabia Grand Prix. In doing so, however, the team committed a violation by breaking the curfew.
Where the Austrians were hoping for a good opening weekend, it fell through due to problems with the fuel supply. It was not immediately clear to the team of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez what was going on, so they went looking for the fault.
Red Bull, however, did not fully comply with the rules, because according to the FIA, the racer continued to tinker with the cars for too long. As a result, the formation received a first warning. However, it has no immediate consequences.
