Schumacher feels good: 'Something you have to put behind you'

Mick Schumacher was hoping to have a great race at the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix, but his crash in qualifying saw the race weekend come to an early end. Despite the hard hit, Schumacher remains optimistic about the season, he told Formula1.com.

Drivers and Formula 1 viewers were in for a shock Saturday night when Schumacher drove his car hard into the wall. While little remained of his car, the greatest concern was over the driver's condition. Schumacher had to be taken to the hospital just to be sure, but was soon allowed to leave.

Schumacher reflects on reason for crash

A day later, he was back on the track. Schumacher made a fit impression and spoke extensively to the press about the incident in qualifying. According to him, he has thought a lot about the reason since the accident, he told the medium.

"Obviously it's something where you think about. What can I have done better and different?", he reveals honestly. "But in the end it's also something you have to put behind you. Our goal is still Q3 and points."
