Max Verstappen has been able to score 25 World Championship points after the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix. The Dutchman was just a bit faster at the finish than Charles Leclerc, who does manage to extend his lead over teammate Carlos Sainz in the world championship.

Sainz finished third, just ahead of Sergio Perez. The 32-year-old driver was very unhappy at the Jeddah circuit, as he was virtually driving in first place when the safety car came out. He fell back to P4 and from that blow he was unable to recover in the race. George Russell was the best of the rest with a P5.

Only 14 drivers managed to finish Sunday night. Mick Schumacher and Yuki Tsunoda did not even start, but then Valtteri Bottas, Daniel Ricciardo, Fernando Alonso and Nicholas Latifi also retired.
