The Monaco Grand Prix will remain "just" on the Formula 1 calendar beyond 2022. Said in a statement by the president of the Automobile Club Monaco. Rumors of a possible last race in the Principality are dismissed.

The F1 calendar is getting larger and larger and with the addition of a race in Las Vegas, the arrival of Qatar and possibly the return of China, there is a good chance that another race will have to make its way in 2023. Spa-Francorchamps and Paul Ricard appeared to be candidates to drop out, but Monaco is also said to be in its final season, according to several sources.

Monaco remains on the F1 calendar

At a meeting of the Automobile Club Monaco, Michel Boeri, the president of the organization in Monaco, revealed that nothing of these reports is true. ''I want to address what has been written by the media. There is nothing true about that,'' Boeri revealed at the meeting, according to La Gazette de Monaco.

''We are still in talks with them (Formula 1) and now we have to make it concrete by signing a contract. I can guarantee that after 2022 a GP will also be held (in Monaco). I don't know if the contract will last three or five years, but those are details,'' Boeri concluded.
