Can Red Bull still overtake Ferrari? 'They already proved it in 2021'
- GPblog.com
Ferrari could hardly have started the 2022 Formula One season better. With two wins from three races, it is clear that the Italian racing stable is in good shape again, but will they keep that up over a full season?
In 2022, it will mainly be about developing the car. Who is good at the beginning of the year does not have to still have the best car at the end of the year. With the completely new set of aerodynamic regulations, each team will be able to gain a lot of ground during the year.
Typical Ferrari
After the race, Tom Clarkson spoke for the F1 Nation Podcast Australian Channel 10 reporters. "It would be very Ferrari to lose it from here, but we are also three races in. They clearly have a very good package, the development race will be the stoy and operating under the cost cap. Can they keep that up with Red Bull who have proven [it in 2021]," says Richard Craill.
His colleague Sam Power agrees, but believes that Red Bull are now also really awake after yet another failure. ''After what happened to Red Bull, it would have galvanised them. It would have caused them to go 'we need to get this right and get back into the fight asap. They will do everything they can to turn around for Imola," Power said in the F1 podcast.
