Ferrari is the only team that did not bring any updates in Imola. The Italian team let it be known beforehand that it wanted to focus on better understanding the current car, thus taking a completely different approach from all the other teams.

In 2022, teams will have to strike an important balance between bringing new updates and better understanding the current car. First of all, these are entirely new cars that the engineers must first understand and, in addition, because of the budget cap, money must be used more wisely. You can't keep bringing updates.

Updates in Imola

Ferrari is taking a very quiet approach to this. The F1-75 has proved competitive on every circuit so far and so there is no rush for the Italians. The team first tries to understand this car completely, before bringing updates to the races. In A document from the FIA advance of the Imola Grand Prix, it becomes apparent how different this approach is compared to all the other teams.

Helmut Marko already announced that Red Bull Racing would travel to Imola with new parts and that appears to be the case. The document from the FIA lists all the updates per team. Red Bull has a new part for the floor and a new cooling system for the rear brakes. Mercedes comes with two new side pod entrances and a new diffuser. Going down the whole list, it appears that Ferrari is the only team in Imola without updates. All other teams have brought updates to a greater or lesser extent.
