McLaren announces: 'We are bringing some upgrades'

McLaren hopes to put the lesser results of Miami behind them in the run-up to the Barcelona Grand Prix. On the official McLaren website Andreas Seidl let it be known that the stable is coming up with a number of updates that should ensure that Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo are even more competitive.
Last season McLaren still managed to have two cars in the top ten. Ricciardo crossed the finish line sixth, while his teammate finished two places behind him. McLaren is therefore hopeful that it can achieve another weekend like this.
It needs the points badly. Where the formation hoped with the new regulations that it could attack the top teams, nothing turned out less true. A series of disappointing results has left the team in fourth place in the constructors' championship with a whopping 49 points behind number three Mercedes.
Seidl expects strong McLaren in Barcelona
Seidl therefore knows that there is plenty of room for improvement. "We are bringing some upgrades to the car for the weekend. I know it's been an extremely busy week or so for many of the teams making changes ahead of Barcelona so it's going to continue to be a tight fight for points," the team boss said.
