Verstappen does not rule out switching to another team in future

Max Verstappen is, partly due to his world title in 2021, now the most sought after driver in Formula 1. He is still tied to Red Bull Racing until 2028, but the Dutchman does not rule out leaving for another team in the future.
In recent years, various media linked his name with a switch to Mercedes or Ferrari, among others. However, Verstappen kept his faith in the Austrian racing team and that paid off last season, when he got a car at his disposal with which he won the world championship.

When his contract with Red Bull comes to an end in six years' time, however, Verstappen does not know what he will do. Although he is having a good time at his current team and is therefore far from thinking about leaving, he told the latest Motorsport Magazin that he is not ruling out driving for another racing team at that time.
"At the end of the contract I will only be 31 years old," he analyzes the situation. "Then I still have the possibility to continue or not. I will still not be old at the end of the contract period." This season he is battling with Charles Leclerc, whom he says he will deal with differently on the track than he did with Lewis Hamilton last season.
