Aston Martin appeared in Spain with a B-specification of the AMR22. The British formation took a lot of updates with them, which makes the car almost incomparable with the car that was driven in the first five Grands Prix. Red Bull Racing claims that Aston Martin has illegally copied technical highlights, but Sebastian Vettel shrugs his shoulders a bit.

"It is still difficult to compare at the moment because the conditions are not completely transparent. But it's definitely not a step back. Vettel told the German branch of Sky after the first day in Barcelona about the steps the team has taken. "I think we can be quite satisfied for the first day."

Aston Martin was able to rack up a lot of mileage with the two cars, so it has the necessary data that can now be analyzed. "It was a good day for us because the car is practically new, and with so many new parts it was important to get a lot of laps." The Heppenheimer finished in a neat eighth place in the second free practice session.

Vettel on statements made by Red Bull

When confronted with Red Bull's criticism, Vettel replied, "There are always similarities between the cars. From the very beginning, the possibility of switching to a different concept was kept open." The riot will undoubtedly have a tail end, despite the fact that the FIA has approved Aston Martin's car for this weekend.
