Lando Norris was quite ill during the Spanish Grand Prix, but still chose to finish the race. McLaren CEO Zak Brown hopes that the driver will be there in Monaco as well, although he doesn't rule out it being too early. He tells this in an interview with Sky Sports.

"He was very ill. We weren't even sure he was going to get the clearance from the doctor to drive but fortunately he did," Brown reflected on the weekend in Barcelona. "He has tonsillitis and is in bed now so hopefully he will be okay for the weekend in Monaco."

According to Brown, Norris is still not feeling hugely fit but should improve in the coming days. Should this not be the case then the upcoming race weekend in Monaco could be in jeopardy and McLaren may have to look for a replacement.

Norris gets points for his team

Despite the physical problems, Norris still managed to finish in the points in Spain. With an eighth place, he finished behind Esteban Ocon. His teammate Daniel Ricciardo crossed the finish line as twelfth driver and thus remained pointless.
