Leclerc laughs: 'Not like if I really have a choice'

Charles Leclerc will be on the hunt for a victory in next weekend's Monaco Grand Prix. Although the Monegasque has had a difficult time, he told La Gazetta de Monaco that he is confident for the upcoming races.
The Monegasque will draw some confidence from last season's race weekend. At the time, Leclerc had an excellent qualifying session in which he set the fastest time until he crashed into the wall. His qualifying time showed what he is capable of in Monaco.
His focus, however, will be on regaining the lead in the world championship. The driver topped the leaderboard from the first race but had to give it up to Max Verstappen after his retirement in Barcelona.
Leclerc aims for world title
If he had to choose between winning the Monaco GP and becoming world champion, he would know. "I really love Monaco, but if I had to keep just one, it would be the world title," said Leclerc, who then started to laugh. "But it's not like I really have a choice, so I will try to get both by first winning here and then the championship. That seems to me the right order."
