Leclerc gives his opinion on questionable Monaco GP

Formula One drivers will be at the Monaco circuit this weekend to complete the seventh race of the season. In recent months, the Grand Prix has been under discussion on several occasions, with the cancellation of the event even being considered. Charles Leclerc would not be in favor of it.
The Ferrari driver prepares for a race in his home country and continues to find it special. Although it is difficult for the drivers to overtake each other and therefore the races are often less exciting, the Monegasque still enjoys driving around the circuit.
Leclerc thinks it is a special track and therefore would not consider it a good choice if Formula 1 chose to remove Monaco from the calendar. "Losing the race would be a bad move for both parties," Leclerc stressed in conversation with the English Independent. "I have never known Monaco without Formula One. Formula One without Monaco is not Formula One."
Leclerc fights with Verstappen for front position
For Leclerc a very important weekend awaits, because in Spain he lost the lead in the world championship to Max Verstappen. However, the difference between the two drivers is only six points, so a win in Monaco could put him back in the lead.
