Brundle fears for Leclerc again: "This circuit can punish you hard"

Charles Leclerc has a poor track record at Monaco and that's a shame for his home crowd too. Martin Brundle warns the Monegasque again about the unforgiving track this weekend.
Leclerc has never finished in his home race in F1. Not even last year when he started from pole and he entered the race as the favorite. Even two weeks ago, the Ferrari driver crashed on the track in a historic Ferrari driven by Niki Lauda. The curse that rests on Leclerc could be broken this weekend, but former F1 driver Brundle is still warning him to be on the safe side.
Brundle fears for mistake Leclerc
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Brit says: "Leclerc always pushes everything to the limit, including himself. This circuit can punish you hard for that, He has experienced that himself several times. You have to drive here with a completely different mentality. The problem is that you crash if you take too much speed into one of these corners. You can't do anything if you take the kerb with too much speed. The little mistakes he still makes sometimes are magnified here and he has to watch out for that this weekend."
After his failure in Spain, the pressure on the Ferrari driver has increased. Max Verstappen has overtaken him in the championship and is now the leader. His team has also lost the lead to Red Bull Racing in the constructors' classification. Since Verstappen has still won every race he has finished this season, Leclerc needs to stay calm and not make any mistakes. According to Brundle, he will be punished for that immediately.
