Charles Leclerc will start the race in Monaco from pole position on Sunday afternoon. In his home country, he hopes to drive to victory, although he realizes that certain circumstances could make the situation difficult for him.
Ferrari already convinced during the free practice sessions and the Italian racing team continued that line on Saturday afternoon. In Q3, Leclerc secured the front position at the start, while Carlos Sainz took second place. With this, the formation left the competitors of Red Bull Racing behind.
Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez seem to have a good chance of overtaking Ferrari in the rain, which seems to be coming, making Leclerc curious about the situation that will arise on Sunday. "I don't think I've ever driven in the wet here. Not that I remember. So it's going to be tricky," Leclerc responded to the FIA press conference.
Leclerc is ready for challenge in Monaco
The Monegasque knows better than anyone how difficult it is to set a good race in Monaco. "I mean, city tracks are very tricky. Monaco is probably one of the most challenging tracks of the season and in the wet, I'm sure that it's even tougher. But yeah, we are ready for it."
