Max Verstappen takes home 25 points after his victory for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Title rival Charles Leclerc will have to leave Baku with zero points after his retirement. Verstappen knows how it feels, but Red Bull Racing has so far learned from its mistakes.

"Sh*t happens. It happened to me too and it's part of racing. After that it's important for the team to make sure it doesn't happen again," Verstappen is quoted by Formula 1 reporter Erik van Haren on Twitter.

Verstappen crashed out at the opening round in Bahrain and the Australian Grand Prix due to reliability issues, but since then the Dutchman has only been plagued by problems with his DRS.

Verstappen: 'You have to be on top of everything'

At Ferrari, things now seem to be going wrong as Leclerc also experienced his second retirement of the season in Baku, after also facing reliability problems in Spain. Ferrari will have to analyze the problems properly.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Dutchman added: "It's about always scoring points. Even if you have a crash or reliability issues you don't want that. You need to be on top of everything and we were not on top of it at the start of the season but you learn from it," said the Dutchman.
