Porsche chief hints at cooperation with Red Bull Racing

Porsche's management seems to be keen on a return to Formula 1. CFO Lutz Meschke hints at a partnership with Red Bull Racing, who have reportedly been in talks behind the scenes for some time.
New engine regulations will apply in Formula 1 from 2026. Among other things, it will make it more profitable for engine suppliers to enter the motorsport class, which is why several brands are considering a move.
Porsche, which sees 'no great economic risk', seems to be one of the new brands. However, Meschke does indicate that Porsche would then want to work with a large team, seemingly pointing to Red Bull. "If we are committed to the premier class of racing, then with a strong partner," the CFO said in conversation with Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
Waiting for news of Audi and Porsche
There is a good chance that Porsche will enter Formula 1 together with Audi. The announcement was initially supposed to be made at the end of June, but was delayed. It is therefore necessary to wait and see when both brands will officially come out with the news.
