Perez confident ahead of Austrian GP: "We are back in the race".

Sergio Perez made good progress during the sprint race in Austria. The Red Bull Racing driver fought his way back up from P13 to fifth place and will start Sunday's race from this position. The Mexican is confident and feels a podium is possible.
Had it not been for the hefty penalty handed down by the stewards, Perez might have been able to fight his way into the lead, but instead, the Mexican had to fight his way through the field. He did just that, finishing fifth on the grid for the race.
Perez confident in race
Given his penalty, Perez is pretty happy with the result. "We were able to minimise the penalty," said the Red Bull driver at Viaplay. "We are back in the race, so hopefully we will manage to get on the podium tomorrow." He also expressed confidence in the RB18, with which he believes he can fight for the top positions.
The number two in the championship is therefore confident that, together with teammate Max Verstappen, he can once again produce a strong result for Red Bull Racing. "Hopefully we have a good pace for the race tomorrow," Perez said.
