The tyre problems Red Bull Racing encountered in Austria have been resolved. According to Helmut Marko it was a simple mistake in the setup for that weekend.

Max Verstappen put on a show at the Grand Prix weekend in Austria. The Dutchman was fastest in qualifying and in the sprint race, but in the main race the Red Bull driver lost ground. Charles Leclerc and also Carlos Sainz proved much faster, as the tyres under the RB18 degraded much quicker.

Red Bull comes back

''The rear tyres simply overheated, that was a mistake in the setup. After the Sprint we couldn't anticipate this the way we wanted. The rain then also washed away all the rubber, which only made the situation more difficult'', Marko says to the Kronen Zeitung.

Red Bull are confident that these problems will not reoccur in France, so they are back in the battle with Ferrari. The pace of the Italian team did not shock Red Bull. ''We were slow, Ferrari were not particularly fast'', concludes Red Bull's top advisor.
