Horner saw no chance for Red Bull: 'Ferrari had the advantage'

Christian Horner saw Ferrari and Charles Leclerc set the fastest time in qualifying on Saturday afternoon. The Italian team used an interesting tactic that left Red Bull Racing without a chance, according to the team boss.
Mattia Binotto 's team chose to let Carlos Sainz drive in front of Leclerc on the first part of the circuit so that the Monegasque could bring extra speed. As a result, Verstappen was unable to match his time. According to Horner, however, Red Bull could not have done the same.
"I think we would have been a tenth closer, but in that one lap Ferrari had the advantage," Horner stated in conversation with Sky Sports. "There are two concepts of attacking this circuit. Ferrari has more downforce, we're more trimmed out ao it's all about tomorrow."
Perez gives Verstappen extra advantage
While Sainz will start the race from the back due to an engine part change, Sergio Perez provided an interesting starting position. The Mexican set the third fastest time, ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris.
