Daniel Ricciardo's future at McLaren is still uncertain. The performance of the driver this season is not good, but for Andreas Seidl that is still no reason to consider the position of the Australian. He tells this in conversation with Sky Sports.

McLaren are reportedly considering replacing Ricciardo at the end of the season, but Seidl says in the interview that this is out of the question. The team boss states that there is enough confidence within McLaren that Ricciardo will improve soon.

"Absolutely, " responds Seidl. "He is committed, we are committed. Keep working hard together to find the last percentages that are missing. At the moment that's what we focus on. We try on our side what we can do with the car to make it feel more natural for him. At the same time, he tries to adapt as well. Lots of work he's putting in with the engineers in Woking."

Ricciardo looking forward to Dutch GP

Ricciardo, meanwhile, still seems to be enjoying his time in Formula One. This week he said he is particularly looking forward to the Dutch Grand Prix which is scheduled for early September. However, this weekend a race in France awaits him first.
