Sergio Perez finished ninth in the second free practice session. The Mexican knows there is work to be done, but with rain forecast on Saturday he hopes Red Bull Racing can fight for pole position.

"We were trying. It was a day of trying different bits to get comfortable with the car, and I think we got a good understanding of the day. Hopefully, tomorrow we will be able to show what we learned today and that translate into the high fuel and low fuel pace." Perez told Sky Sports.

Saturday at the Hungaroring is expected to be very wet, with rain predicted all day, so there is a good chance we will have a good race. So there is a good chance we will see a wet qualifying session, something Perez is certainly hoping for in order to beat Ferrari.
