Red Bull Racing beats rivals again with fastest stop of 2022
- GPblog.com
Red Bull Racing is famous for its fast pit-stops, but since the rule changes the team has had some competition. McLaren have repeatedly given Red Bull a hard time, but in the last few races it has been the Austrian team that has been quickest in the pit lane. This was also the case in the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Red Bull makes fastest pit stop of F1 season
At the French GP the honour went to Verstappen, but at the Hungaroring the fastest pit stop was for Sergio Perez. Red Bull Racing needed just 2.19 seconds for the stop, making it not only the fastest pit stop of the race, but also the fastest of the entire 2022 Formula One season so far. McLaren were not far off with a 2.26 second stop for Daniel Ricciardo, but Verstappen also made a very quick stop in just 2.33 seconds.
Is it really already the last race before the F1 summer break? @redbullracing mechanics were certainly all fired up as they delivered the #DHLFastestPitStop of the #HungarianGP and the fastest of the season so far! #DHLF1 #F1 pic.twitter.com/x0BP8F5nHv
