BREAKING: Albon to drive for Williams in 2023 after contract extension
- GPblog.com
Alexander Albon and Williams have confirmed that they will continue together. From 2023 onwards, the Thai driver will continue to drive for the British team from Grove.
Albon will be seen in the paddock for the time being. On Wednesday afternoon, Williams announced that the Thai driver will continue to race for the team in 2023 and beyond. It is not yet clear for how long Albon has signed.
With the announcement, another piece of the puzzle falls into place in the silly season for 2023. Williams now has a free seat left. There are several candidates for this. Nicholas Latifi, Logan Sargeant, Nyck de Vries and Oscar Piastri seem to be the main contenders.
