F1 takes off again: This is the start time of the 2022 Belgian Grand Prix
- GPblog.com
After a (too) long summer break it is time for a race week again. The Belgian Grand Prix is coming up and this might be the last GP at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. A good reason not to miss anything this weekend. Find out what time you need to switch on for each session here.
The Belgian Grand Prix is not sure of its place on the 2023 F1 calendar. In all likelihood 24 races will be held, but these may not include the races in Belgium, France or even Monaco. There are more countries desperate for an F1 race, and those countries generally pay more.
Verstappen now on for a 'real' win in Belgium
For now, it's time to enjoy the enchanting track in the Belgian Ardennes. It is Max Verstappen's favourite circuit and he also won here last year. However, he did so in a dubious manner, as the Red Bull driver only had to drive a few laps behind the safety car to win, after which the race was cancelled.
Fans with tickets for the 2022 edition will be hoping for a better race weekend than last year. The weekend kicks off on Friday with the first free practice session starting at 14:00hrs local and therefore 1pm UK time. The second free practice is the same day at 4pm. On Saturday FP3 is at 12pm and qualifying starts at 3pm. On Sunday the race starts one hour earlier. The lights for the race go out at 2pm.
