While his Red Bull teammate snatched Pole Position in front of his adoring home-crowd, Sergio Perez's day at Zandvoort was a struggle, ending with a spin into the final corner.

Perez never looked anywhere close to Verstappen at any point so far at Zandvoort. The Mexican driver ended up qualifying sixth for the Grand Prix tomorrow, seven tenths off of his teammate's Pole Position time.

"In the end I was quite lucky not to damage the whole car because it was going to be a big shunt. I went in alright and then tried to pick up the throttle a bit too early and touched the gravel a little bit and lost the rear. I was on a good lap but didnt manage to improve," he spoke to Sky Sports after Qualifying.

"It's going to be a tricky one to make some progress. I will try my best. Try my best to have a strong race tomorrow that will be important. We have good options for tomorrow."
