Alonso deeply disappointed with P13 after qualifying: 'Unfortunate'

The Formula One drivers had a challenge ahead of them on Saturday afternoon. In qualifying, times were again close together, with details making the difference. Fernando Alonso also noticed this, as the Spaniard had to settle for P13.
Alonso travelled to the Netherlands with a good feeling. A week earlier, at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, despite a collision with Lewis Hamilton, he managed to drive to fifth place with flying colours. In Zandvoort, he hoped to achieve a good starting position.
The experienced driver, however, did not manage to reach Q3. Partly due to the pressure on the track, he did not get any further than the thirteenth starting position. "This circuit is very narrow, very small," the Spaniard stressed in conversation with Viaplay. "Unfortunately we did it on the wrong lap."
Alonso remains positive about Sunday's chances
However, the Alpine driver knows better than anyone that plenty can still happen in the race. With Esteban Ocon in front Alonso hopes to finish in the points on Sunday afternoon and achieve a good result, although he knows it will be difficult. He stresses that overtaking will be difficult.
