In contrast to the Belgian Grand Prix, nothing will change on the grid prior to the race at Zandvoort. The drivers will start as they finished qualifying with Max Verstappen on pole position.

Verstappen narrowly on pole

Verstappen managed to clinch pole position for his home Grand Prix on Saturday afternoon. The Dutchman was 0.021 seconds faster than Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc. The other Ferrari, of Carlos Sainz, will start from third position.

Behind them we find Lewis Hamilton, who had hoped for a better starting spot than P4. He had to hold back on his last fast lap in qualifying because Sergio Perez spun in front of him. The Mexican will start from P5 with George Russell next to him for sixth.

Surprises in the top ten

The big surprise of Saturday was the strong performance of Mick Schumacher. He defeated teammate Kevin Magnussen and can start from P8. Also Yuki Tsunoda and Lance Stroll managed to beat their teammate and will start in the top ten.
