Christian Horner enjoyed the Dutch Grand Prix and the atmosphere on and around the Zandvoort circuit. It was not an easy race for Red Bull Racing, but the final result is more than satisfactory. The Austrian team managed to keep their nerves under control in a chaotic final twenty laps.
"That was a massively tough race with a VSC and SC," Horner reflected to Sky Sports. The Red Bull team boss praised the strategists, as it was a chaotic end. "It was about making the right calls and particularly that last one pitting Max from the lead to put him behind the two Mercedes, and for us it was crucial to be on the right tyres. It worked out beautifully in the end."

"With a safety car there are so many factors to consider. I think we took all the decisions at the right moments. Under such pressure Max and the team did everything they needed to do," he continued. Horner enjoyed the atmosphere immensely on Sunday. "I've had very few [of these days]. It was a very special victory today for Max in front of his home crowd. And what a crowd, it was really unbelievable here."
Speaking to Viaplay, the British top man went on to say, "I think Mercedes did make it a bit easier for us when they pitted George. Max had only Lewis between him and a victory, and Max was always gonna go for it. It was never in doubt."
