The manager game F1 Manager 2022 is available since the end of August and Max Verstappen has also obtained a copy. The Red Bull Racing driver is playing the game, but has made it clear that he doesn't fully agree with how some of the ratings were arrived at.

Verstappen does not understand Lambiase's low rating

After the Dutch Grand Prix, Verstappen called out to Gianpiero Lambiase on the board radio that he actually deserved an upgrade. At first, the race engineer did not understand what Verstappen was referring to, but soon after he understood the joke.

Lambiase has a rating of '84' in the game. That is quite a bit lower than Peter Bonnington (93) and Riccardo Musconi (90), the best engineers in the game. Both Bonnington and Musconi work for Mercedes.

In conversation with Motorsport.com Verstappen once again shows he is not happy with the way the ratings are determined. He jokingly says he will soon have a heart-to-heart with the developers of the game. "I play with myself, so actually I am Christian Horner. The rating of GP Lambiase (race engineer) is idiotically low. Someone who was on drugs probably came up with that. I need to talk to those people about that first."
