Qualifying duels after Italian GP | Verstappen, Hamilton increase the gap
- GPblog.com
There were no major surprises in the qualifying duels after the qualifying session for the Italian Grand Prix. Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris extend their already large lead.
Besides the 'usual suspects', Pierre Gasly, Sebastian Vettel, Valtteri Bottas and Kevin Magnussen also extend their lead over their teammates. Lewis Hamilton is slightly ahead of George Russell, as is Fernando Alonso over Esteban Ocon. The standings between Alexander Albon and Nicholas Latifi do not change as Nyck de Vries steps in for Albon, but Latifi also lost the one-off duel with De Vries.
