Perez on investigation: 'Have no idea what's going on'

Sergio Perez recorded his second win of the season at the Singapore Grand Prix. The Mexican had to fight hard for it, but eventually managed to keep Charles Leclerc behind him. The 32-year-old driver is only too happy with his victory at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
" It was certainly my best performance. I controlled the race even thought the warm-up was difficult. The last few laps as so intense. I gave everything for the win today," Perez told the interviewer Paul di Resta.
Race management investigate Perez
The win is not quite 100 per cent certain yet. Perez crossed the finish line with a lead of just over seven seconds. However, he is still under investigation by race control for possibly overtaking the safety car too early on the restart.
"I have no idea what is going on they just told me to extend the gap," Perez said about it. He saw his teammate Max Verstappen get no further than seventh place. The celebration for a world title was thus postponed by at least a week. "It's nice for Max to get it in Japan for the team and for Honda. Overall, a good day for the team."
